A free health & empowerment workshop for young women ages 14-16.

Know Yourself - Who are you?  What defines you?  How do stereotypes make you feel?  Do they help or hurt us?

Be True to Yourself - How is our development, our self image, and our actions affected by outside influences including friends, family, culture and media?  Are we being who we are or who others want us to be?

Protect Yourself – Be safe in cyberspace and face to face.  Participants will learn and practice common self defense techniques and learn tips on how to be safe online.

Lunch – Presentation on resources for victims of sexual violence. Lunch will be provided.

Take Care of Yourself - Talk with a health care provider about what a well woman’s visit is like and why they’re important for reproductive health.   Learn about options to prevent unintended pregnancies.

Respect Yourself – Are you in charge of your own decisions?  Setting boundaries with friends and in relationships empower us to be true to ourselves.  Participants will discuss the emotional and physical consequences (including STIs) of sexual activity.

Stretch Yourself – a yoga session.  Education and information is powerful.  By being informed we can make healthy decisions and be true to ourselves.  Use what you’ve learned today to set your intentions for the future.

The Kiwanis Club of Loveland beat The Evil League of Evil in the final round of the Trivia Bowl - giving the Kiwanis Club of Loveland the official title of "Know-It-Alls." Thanks to all of our participants, sponsors and volunteers that made this event such a success!
